In 1991, the first issue of the Star Trek disk magazine The Final Frontier was released for the Commodore Amiga computer by us here at Infinite Frontiers. Over the following five years, we released a massive selection of software for Amiga enthusiasts all freely distributable. Our flagship title, The Final Frontier, ran for 10 issues during this time, but it was also supported by several other titles. We also released two sets of themed slideshow disks. The Holodeck series featured superb artwork inspired by Star Trek. Supporting this was Illusions, another series of slideshows covering sci-fi and fantasy artwork.
These are now all available as free downloads for use with Amiga emulators such as Cloanto’s Amiga Forever as DMS files. If you wish to run these physically on an Amiga, just use DMS software to decompress each file to a blank 3.5″ disk. We will be adding more to this list shortly as we convert our entire back catalogue of Amiga releases to bring you our complete collection of software!
Anyway, we hope you enjoy the software, and keep coming back for more…

Disk Magazines – The Final Frontier
The Final Frontier – Issue 1 (released 28th September 1991)
Our first title we released for the Amiga back in 1991, which was the world’s first disk magazine devoted to Star Trek. Spanning two disks, this features art, articles, fiction, reviews, music and much more. Both files need to be downloaded and they are here in DMS format for the Amiga. The magazine can be used on Amiga emulators or on native Amigas by decompressing the files back to disk. Each disk boots separately. Downloads: The Final Frontier 1A; The Final Frontier 1B
The Final Frontier – Issue 2 (released 16th March 1992)
The second issue of The Final Frontier expanded in size dramatically, stepped up a level in terms of presentation and improved the magazine all-round. Simply more of everything! Each of the three disks boot separately and this time, they are downloadable in ADF format, although again as well as useable in emulators, they can be transferred to disk.
